This workbook has been retained because it documents the day to day running of Alex Clark and Son. It records a number of different activities:

Indexed Funeral Ledger (21 March 1896 to 29 April 1898) which includes: Name of Deceased, Address, amount owing and a list of all funeral expenses (ie. coffin, removal of remains from place of death, plate inscription, hearse and cemetery fees) Pages 1 - 16.

Bills Delivered (8 January 1900 to May 1900) Includes: Date, No. Description of Bill and Amount) Pages 20 - 23.

Monies Received (1 May 1900 to 1 July 1900) Includes: Date, Description of Bill and Amount. Page 24.

Accounts Rendered (July 1900 to April 1901) Includes: No., Description of Bill and Amount. Pages 24 - 30.

Employment Roster (1 December 1901 to 13 April 1907) Includes: Surname of Deceased, Funeral Date, Staff Members employed for that funeral and Funeral location (ie, Cornelian Bay Cemetery). Pages 30 - 173.
