Series notes:
This series comprises an unpublished typescript "Destination Tasmania" written by Elizabeth Godfrey with the author pseudonym Mary Milford. It was written two years after the Godfrey family arrived in Tasmania from England as a guide for later migrants. It is an interesting account of a post-war migration experience and documents the practicalities of house-hunting and building, local customs and observations about food, school, the arts and life in general in Tasmania in the early 1950s.

It has a preface written by Elizabeth Godfrey's son, Bill Godfrey.
