These are letters written by Deborah Lidbetter to her daughter, Amy, from Victoria then from New Town in Tasmania. The later letters are addressed to Amy and her husband Louis Shoobridge.
The letters detail day to day news of family and friends and questions to Amy about her welfare.

The letters were originally folded into bundles and tied with cotton, presumably by Amy. For preservation and access reasons, the letters have been placed into acid free folders and interleaved with archival paper. The exact order has been maintained.
