Series notes:
Research notes, family trees, photographs, and copies of photographs, compiled by Claudia M Dean in the 1980s, 90s and 2000s. The Dean family connection to the Elmer, Field and Lindsay families came through Claudia M Dean. Claudia's mother was Claudia Florence Westfield (nee Field) Field White (1897-1980), daughter of William Enfield Field (1861-1931) and Frances Amelia Elmer (1869-1957). William Enfield Field was the son of Thomas William Field and Elizabeth Lindsay.

As much of Claudia Dean's research crossed over a number of families, she used copies of photographs in some of her research folders. The originals of these copies can usually be found within related family papers.
