Series notes:
A set of manuscript and typescript recipe books compiled by three generations of the White/MacLean family. Marian White was Claudia F White's mother in law. Claudia M White (later Dean) was Claudia F White's daughter. A fourth volume, Marion MacLean's 1890 recipe book, is available within series NS602 - see NS602/1/16. The books give an oversight of the ingredients available, methods of preparation undertaken, and preferred or popular meals, over the period 1890-1990.
