Series notes:
Vivien Adlam was born in Bengeo, in Hertford, UK. She experienced the Depression and World War Two before moving to Australia as a "10 pound Pom". During the War she worked at Bletchley House and later trained as a librarian. Vivien and her husband Jim settled in Tasmania in 1952 where they raised a family. The transcript provides a vivid account of her Vivien's life experiences. Vivien died before the interview process was completed and her daughter, Gillian, has worked with the interviewer to complete the work.
