Series notes:
Papers and photographs. The papers relate to investigations by The Zinc Corporation Limited company into the viability of the Mt Bischoff Mine. This small cache of papers were in the possession of a former employee of Hellyer mine Que River and Aberfoyle Ltd. Also includes two annotated copies of the Mt Bischoff map created by the Mines Branch, Lands and Surveys Department, July 1947. The annotations show different prospecting licence holders. The Zinc Corporation's (later 'Consolidated Zinc') options in the Mt Bischoff Mine expired in 1950. The set of six black and white photographs depict mining operations in the 1880s. While five of the photographs have been labelled 'Mt Bischoff Mine', it is possible that they are in fact images of the Moina Shepherd and Murphy Mine.
