This series consists of correspondence files created by the Operations Branch of the Transport Commission, Railways in Tasmania. Many of the files have had their movement card placed inside them at the time they were closed. The files deal in the main with the administration and operations of the railways. After 1985 files relating to derailments, collissions and other acidents will be found in series P2247.
