There is an index at the front of the book and the pages have been consecutively numbered at the top right corner.
Series notes:
This series consists of a single volume hand written exercise book. It is entitled "Index to plans" and is used to list civil engineering railway drawing titles. Painted symbols have been used to identify the type of drawing of individual lines. [The plans or drawings have a corresponding symbol painted on a tag attached to the drawing]. The major types of drawings covered are - station yards, bridges and buildings. There are also lists of culverts, turntables, wharves and piers, stock yards, level crossings and cattle grids, ash pits, rails and fastenings (permanent way), water supply, miscellaneous plans, old miscellaneous plans, plans which have become obsolete, book plans and plans on loan. There is an index at the front of the book and the pages have been consecutively numbered at the top right corner.
