Series notes:
The Stock Mortgages Act 1925 provided for mortgages on the purchase of livestock (effectively restricted to vendor finance) to be registered in the Supreme Court. The 1930 Act extended the provisions to unshorn wool and other crops, aligned the process more closely with that in the Bills of Sale Act and incorporated certain provisions of that Act.
For each mortgage there is a number, name and address of mortgagor, name of mortgagee, amount and date of registration. Mortgages under previous act are included in the first item under the original register numbers.
