Series notes:
Files contain correspondence, rules, annual returns, dissolution documents and liquidators' reports. Registration was according to the Building Societies Act 1876. For those companies still registered after 1991, registration continued under the Financial Institutions (Tasmania) Code as detailed in the Financial Institutions (Application of Laws) Act 1992. For newly registered building societies after 1991 refer to series AG549.
