Description:
Breadalbane State/ Provisional School was located on the Main Road, Breadalbane. Breadalbane is a small location on the junction of the Midland Highway with the Evandale Road. In August 1911 the school recorded 16 boys and 10 girls as pupils. The school was recommended for reclassification in 1927 as the average attendance of eight students was considered too low. The School may have operated as early as 1845 as 'Spring School'. The Launceston Examiner recorded the appointment of a School Master to Breadalbane in 1845.
