Description:
As part of the reorganisation of local government in Tasmania part of the municipality was amalgamated with Oatlands, Green Ponds, and part of Brighton to form the new municipality of Southern Midlands. The remainder of the municipality of Richmond was absorbed by the City of Clarence.~
