Description:
Centralised education began under the supervision of the headmaster (Mr. H. E.;;Miller) a year ago, when all children from the Huonville, Ranelagh, Lucaston, and;;Mountain River schools, and the senior children from Franklin, Braeside and Crabtree were absorbed into the new Huonville Area School.. About half the 450 enrolled children are transported by buses. (1941)
