Description:
The Commissioner dealt with both discrimination and harassment and was empowered to receive, investigate and conciliate complaints. Where conciliation was not possible an inquiry could be held.;;;;The Act also created a Tribunal to conduct the inquiries and review decisions of the Commissioner.;;;;The Office was replaced by one with a remit to deal with discrimination more generally.
