This Branch was created as part of the major reorganisation of the Department of Treasury & Finance in 1994 and became part of the newly created Revenue & Gaming Division. ;;;;The Branch's role was to ensure that gaming operations in casinos, hotels and clubs were conducted in accordance with legislation; provided executive support to the Tasmanian Gaming Commission; undertook investigations into licensed venue operators and persons engaged in the gaming industry, ensured premises were suitable for the conduct of gaming operations; and provided advice on problem gambling issues and provided administrative support in the management of the community support levy. ;;
