On the 3 April 2000 administrative responsibility for the Office of the Commissioner for Licensing was transferred to the now enlarged Revenue, Gaming and Licensing Division. The term State Revenue Office has continued to be used since the 1980's despite this not appearing in any of the Department's Annual Reports.;;;;The Division has responsibility for the collection of the major forms of State taxation on behalf of the Commissioner of State Revenue. It also supports the activities of the Tasmanian Gaming Commission in regulating gaming activities under the Gaming Control Act 1993. In addition, the Division provides support to the Commissioner for Licensing and the Licensing Board of Tasmania to enable functions to be carried out as required by the Liquor and Accommodation Act 1990. ;;;;The Executive Director holds statutory Commissioner appointments under the various State taxation acts including Commissioner of State Revenue and Commissioner for Licensing.;;
