The name of the Government department known as the Department of Police and Public Safety is changed to the Department of Police and Emergency Management. The Tasmanian Fire Service, previously part of the Department of Health and Human Services, is amalgamated with the Department of Police and Emergency Management.;;;;On July 1 2016 the Department was restructured to become the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management.
