The Tasmanian Irrigation Schemes Pty Ltd (TIS) was a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rivers and Water Supply Commission (RWSC) which was a Government Business Enterprise responsible for the State Government owned Irrigation schemes and Irrigation Scheme Developments (through the TIDB).;;;;On 1 July 2011 Tasmanian Irrigation Pty Ltd was established to merge the responsibilities of the former Rivers and Water Supply Commission and the RWSC's two subsidiaries, Tasmanian Irrigation Development Board Pty Ltd and Tasmanian Irrigation Schemes Pty Ltd. The Irrigation Company Act 2011 which created Tasmanian Irrigation Pty Ltd also provided for TIS Pty Ltd to be deregistered.
