The Office of Legislation Development and Review:;;- provides policy advice and research services to the Attorney-General and the Government to assist in formulating new policies and developing new legislation ;;- assists the Attorney-General in discharging parliamentary, legal and ministerial duties ;;- reviews laws to ensure they are relevant to contemporary needs ;;- assists other agencies on legislative issues ;;- advises the Attorney-General on Commonwealth/State ministerial meetings;;;;Previously known as Legal Policy Advice and Law Reform, the Office gained its current name in 2001.
