Formerly known as the Peter McCallum Clinic for the treatment of cancer patients. In 1986 Tasmania assumed full responsibility for the service, the Cancer Services Act vesting the functions and property in the Crown. Positions were created in the Health Services Department for the staff and the clinics were renamed in honour of their Tasmanian director W P Holman. All records of the former Clinic were taken over and some, which pre-date 1952, were created by the Commonwealth Department of Health.;;;;The W P Holman Clinic is located in Royal Hobart Hospital and the Launceston General Hospital.
