Description:
The Board was appointed to administer the National Park at Mount Field. The Lake St Clair Scenic Reserve was added to its area of control in 1923 (TGG 21 Aug 1923). In 1947 the Board was abolished when Lake St Clair Scenic Reserve was attached to the Cradle Mountain Reserve, which it adjoined. Although reverting to its original area, the Board was no longer the only National Park in Tasmania and so its name was changed in the process.~
