Description:
The management, control and regulation of the sea fisheries of this State and the research,development, market research and consumer education necessary to fully utilise the State's living marine resources. As part of a general reorganisation of the Tasmanian State Service, the Department of Sea Fisheries was almalgamated with the Department of Agriculture to create the Department of Primary Industry.~
