Description:
Preparation of Parliamentary Bills, Subordinate Legislation and reprints of Statutes. The Office came into being on 31 March 1978 when its predecessor Department was amalgamated with the Law Department. The Office was transferred to the Premier's Department on 13 March 1980 and remained there, through its reorganisation as the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, until 17 July 1989 when it became part of the Department of Justice. On 3 February 1993, as part of a further restructuring of the State Service (see SR1993 No. 6), the Office again became part of the Department of Premier and Cabinet.~
