Description:
Statutory Rule 1966 Number 27, dated 1 March, renamed the Bowmont as Huon District Hospital. Statutory Rule 1968 Number 117, dated 23 July, transferred the management of Dover District Nursing Centre from the Department to the Board. As an interim step in the re-organisation of the State's health services the District Boards were replaced on 19 June 1990 by regional boards. As part of this process Huon was amalgamated with the Hobart Public Hospitals District.~
